# What happens in case of the lack of the power supply for the system?

Grenton System devices are electric devices, which require electricity, just like a refrigerator, a washing machine, or a TV. In the moment of lack of power supply, the modules do not exercise the logic, and after the return of the voltage, they will wake up with safe settings for the household devices. In an easy way, you can secure yourself from turning off the device by using the emergency power supply (UPS), which would take over the responsibility for supplying Grenton modules and the necessary household devices.
