Attention! The example uses the second generation Gate Modbus module with FW 1.1.0-2034C!
The purpose of this article is to present how to integrate the Fronius Symo 8.2-3-M inverter with the Grenton Smart Home system via the Modbus RTU communication protocol.
The example will read data regarding, among others:
- generated instantaneous power
- total energy generated during the day, year and since the beginning of the installation's operation.
To implement the example below we need:
- CLU Z-Wave (named CLU)
- Gate Modbus (named Gate_Modbus)
- Inverter Fronius
Configuration of Modbus virtual objects
1. We create Modbus virtual objects on the Gate Modbus module:
2. We configure the values of embedded features of individual objects as follows:
* total alternating current:
Attention! To read the register values, subtract the offset of 1 from the selected address.
* phase A alternating current:
* phase-to-phase voltage A-B:
* phase voltage A-N:
* momentary power:
* frequency:
3. We create ModbusValue virtual objects on the Gate Modbus module:
4. We configure the values of embedded features of individual objects as follows:
*Day total energy
*Year total energy
*Total energy
